Your coursework will be centered in the University's John T. Myers Technology Center, which has more than 20 laboratories featuring the most current equipment and technology. The use of modern design techniques, computer modeling, state-of-the-art lab experiences, and learner-oriented classes will help you achieve your full potential.

In addition to coursework, you may participate in activities and organizations that enable you to interact with other students and professionals in the industry, including ISA (the International Society of Automation) and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). 

What You’ll Learn in the Electronics Engineering Technology Program

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology is both a practitioner’s and a theorist’s degree. Technical coursework is combined with managerial study to create a program with quality and diverse content.

Transfer Credit

Indiana State University accepts credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities within the United States, and from selected schools located outside the United States. Credit also may be granted for military training and experience. Previously earned college credit can be applied toward completion of the program per Indiana State's transfer guidelines.

Solving Problems and Devising Solutions

Sycamore grad Cara Lawrence, ’23 built a DC power supply from scratch for her Electronics Engineering Technology senior project. Lawrence enjoys the problem-solving aspects of the major, which helped prepare her for a career as a test engineer.
